My Attempt At Meal Planning

So I LOVE to cook, but I have never been very good at having things prepared ahead of time.  So this week I decided to try and make a small change. 

With three busy boys making dinner and getting it on the table is hard enough with out having to figure out what I am going to throw together out of what I have in the house.  

So this week I have a plan!  Every weeknight has a main dish, a starch and a veggie.  When I was grocery shopping I specifically purchased the items I would need to make it happen.  

Here is this weeks dinner plan. I will share picture and recipes as the week progresses.  

Monday: Grilled Steaks w/ Mashed Potatoes, and corn.
Tuesday: Chicken Enchiladas w/ Spanish rice and black beans
Wednesday: BBQ Chicken, w/ Green Beans and Pasta
Thursday: Brown Sugar Meatloaf with Oven Potatoes and Ginger Carrots
Friday: Asian Lettuce Wraps w/ Rice

So that is the plan.  Hopefully I can stick to it.  Wish me luck!!!

  1. If it works for you, you should look into utilizing similar ingredients in several dishes, so you can rework the leftovers and/or only have to prepare some of the stuff once a week, like having all the peppers chopped for 2 different dishes. Good luck. :)
