Chili

Guest post from: Natalie Walter

The other day while I was watching Good Morning America on direct tv Brandon, a cooking segment came on and they were making chili. It was already nearing the end of October and I realized that I hadn’t made a single batch yet. I had usually made at least one by now. Since I had the day off, I decided to head to the store and round up the necessary ingredients. It was the perfect thing to take to work for lunch since you could freeze it in individual servings and it was both healthy and filling. I originally got the recipe I use from my best friend, but over the years adapted it a little to suit my tastes. She uses turkey in hers, but I prefer lean beef. It has similar nutritional information and I think it tastes a lot better. She also doesn’t put any hot peppers in hers, but since I like mine with a little more spice and smoke, I add Serrano peppers. I love chili and soup weather!
