GoGreen Pocket Diaper - A Very Fluffy Christmas Review and Giveaway

Go Green Pocket Diapers was started in 2010 by Leah and Don Cooper. As parents of three young boys and living in Boulder, CO (only the greenest city in the country) they knew that cloth diapering their boys was the only way for them to go.  

When they started GoGreen, they not only wanted to make an affordable diaper, but they also wanted a diaper that was going to work!  With both of them having PhDs and very strong scientific backgrounds they went to work to develop the Champ and here is what I have to say about it.

I love the look of the diaper.  The PUL has a great quality feel to it and the snaps are very strudy.  As you can see the diaper comes with color coded waist/hip snaps.  This makes snapping the diaper very simple and NO snap counting!

If you notice in the middle of all of the colored snaps there is one black snap.  This snap is there so that you can snap the microfiber insert into the pocket to keep it from shifting around. 

From the outside this diaper looks pretty standard.  It isn't until to look at the inside of the diaper that you really start to see the GREAT features of the Champ.

The diaper features Dual Gusset Technology.  

The double gusset really helps to keep messy messes inside the diaper!  We have yet to have a blow out in this diaper.  

The diaper also has a dual pocket.  One at the front of the diaper and one at the back of the diaper!  One of the great things about this is that it means you don't have to take your insert out before you throw it in the wash.

My favorite thing about this diaper is actually the front pocket.  

The top of the front pocket is actually made of PUL.  This extra piece of waterproofing keeps the diaper from leaking out the top.  Having a tummy sleeping little boy this is HUGE for a night time diaper in my house!  I can't tell you how ,many times I have been woken up by a wet little boy soaking up the front of his jammies in the middle of the night.  This front flap, this tiny piece of PUL is a life saver!!

In addition to the diaper, Leah also sent me a set of Adapt-a-snaps.

This innovative little piece of aplix is a life saver!

It is three pieces of aplix that snap onto the front diaper snaps and also on to the tabs and convert the diaper from snaps to aplix!

This has been a lifesaver for us.  Colton is a squirmer and Aplix really makes putting a diaper on him easy!  But as he grows I can take the converter off we are back to the more difficult to remove snaps!
