The Spotted Owl - Lux Butt - A Very Fluffy Review and Giveaway

We have been reviewing a lot of WAHM diapers. You all know I love me a good WAHM diaper.  That doesn't mean that I just because it isn't WAHM made that I don't love it!  Us WAHMs come in all shapes and sizes, and this one happens to run The Spotted Owl.


The Spotted Owl is a Canadian based business that sells dozens of different eco friendly products, including cloth diapers, dryer balls, and even eco-friendly toothbrushes!


Let me start by saying that Dana is GREAT to work with and the lay out of her online store is very user friendly and so much fun to look at.

I was sent a OS LuxButt diaper in Dark Chocolate.  The inner of the diaper is a SUPER soft organic Cotton Velour and the outer is a waterproof PUL.


As you can notice from the front of this diaper is that it is not a traditional OS diaper.  There are no outside snap down settings.  The rise settings are done with the elastic in the legs (kind of like a Fuzibun but better!)  The leg elastic is tucked into the pocket and and actually slides into the casing so that there are NO button marks on babies skin.


I have been having trouble getting a good fit around the legs however on Colton.  He isn't very big (1 year and just hardly over 20lbs) and his legs are pretty skinny, and on the smallest settings we still get some gapping.  So on a SUPER tiny baby you might have some issues getting a good fit around the legs.

The diaper does get pretty large and will fit a baby for quite awhile.  Especially a baby with chunky legs.


The diaper also has a very generous back pocket, making it super easy to insert the hemp/microfiber insert.
