Oh, the Places You'll Go!

Dr. Seuss is one of my favorite Authors of all time.  Even as an adult I LOVE to read his books.  Yes this included before I had kids!

So when I ran across this idea on Pinterest I HAD to do it!

I purchased two copies of Dr. Suess' Oh, the Places You'll Go! at my local Barnes and Noble today.  Towards the end of the school year I plan to give the books to my boys teachers and have them write a special little note in the book for them.  The plan is that I will continue to do this until the boys graduate.

When they are done with school they will have not only a great book and something that I hope they will someday share with their own children but also some great memories of the teachers that helped to make them who they are today.

Now this may end up being more for mom than the boys, but I still think it is a great way to remember your school years and have a great and practical keepsake.

So in the words of the GREAT Dr. Seuss "And will you succeed? Yes! You will, indeed! (98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed.)  KID, YOU'LL MOVE MOUNTAINS!"

  3. I received a copy of Oh The Places You Will Go when I graduated. My uncle had written a note in it when I was younger. It was such a thoughtful and meaningful gift, and still is one of my treasured keepsakes. My daughters love when I take it out to read to them, but it's not a copy I'll let them have. Great idea!
