So I have decided that I have officially have a Fluff Addiction! To me the only thing better is than getting new fluff is being able to give some away too!
The Mommy behind Monkey Toes Diapers started making diapers making and selling diapers in 2005 when her husband asked her why she didn't make diapers for their son!
Susan was great enough to send me an adorable OS Nykibaby Pocket Diaper to try out.
I need to start by saying isn't this diaper just absolutely adorable!!!
This diaper has a Pul Print Outer in super cute Ooga Booga, and a Brown micro fleece inner. It is super soft and fluffy, and the nice thing about the brown inner is that it doesn't show stains! The diaper has two rows of top snaps and 3 rise settings. I use the diaper with the Micro Fiber Insert that has 2 snap downs. You can also get it with a Cotton/bamboo tri-fold or a Hemp/bamboo tr-fold which Susan suggests for use as a night time diaper.
At 12 1/2lbs we have the diaper on the smallest snap setting. It fits great around Coltons legs and doesn't leave any red marks around his thighs or his back!
The Diaper is a little bulkier than I usually prefer but it still fits great under his clothes just fine.
We didn't have any leaking issues even after a little over 4 hours at night. We did get a little bit of wicking around his legs but not even enough to get his PJ's wet. It is also a little wider in the legs then some of our other pockets and could be a little too wide for babies much smaller than Colton but it wasn't a problem for us.
As usual Colton took the opportunity to have a huge EBF blowout as soon as we put the diaper on for the first time and it was contained wonderfully!
There is not much that could make this diaper better! I would prefer to see another snap down setting on the diaper and maybe a third set of snaps in the middle of the snap downs. But that is more cosmetic then anything else.

ReplyDeleteI have a Monkey Toe and I LOVE the fit! My baby is bigger than yours...14 months...25ish pounds...but it is one of the trimmest diapers I have! You'll find that you love it more and more as your little one grows!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite things about these diapers are that they are one size with an easy to adjust system so I could use them on my toddler and my baby, the super cute prints, and that the insert is sold separate so you can choose which fabric you want.

It is just totally cute! I love that the fleece isn't just plain old white. I'd love to win the exact same one in the pics because I've been looking for one in the ooga booga for forever.

Everyone is pretty much saying the same thing, the inside being brown is a great idea!!!! Plus, the selection of color combinations and prints...I LOVE the Butterlies!
