20 Second Fitness - Week 2

So I told you week one, which was the first week of warm-ups kicked my butt.  Well even so it did its job.  Week two wasn't quite as painful, even for my out of shape butt!

Don't get me wrong it still kicked my butt, however, I didn't spend days incredibly sore afterwards.  My muscles have started to adjust slightly.  

This week the work out were a little longer and they were broken up into 2 or 3 segments.  The first segment was muscle group focus, where the first 2 minutes or so focused on a specific muscle group.  The next 4 minutes or so was a Heart Pumper set.  4 minutes of breathing heavy, ready to fall on the floor cardio.  I know its only 4 minutes but its INTENSE!!! Then on alternating days there was an additional minute of something that I swore was going to break me.  One day it was jump roping the next it was planks.  

Even still I made it through the week and I feel great about it! I will say that week two did bring on the introduction of burpees.  I've hated these since I was a kid and my swim coach used to make us do them in between sets! I really really dislike burpees.  If you don't know what a burpee is check out this quick Video.



They SUCK!!!  But I still have to do them.  Mine are not nearly as intense as these or I would only get 1 done in the 20 seconds but non the less I HATE BURPEES!!

Having said that I am looking forward to my first week of real workouts.  They should start getting more intense now and they will also last longer.  Having said that I can still finish a great work out in less than the time it takes for a Hockey Intermission!
